BD to Build Plant in Wilson Corporate Park

Becton, Dickinson & Co. (better known as BD) is expanding operations and building a manufacturing plant in Wilson Corporate Park. The new plant could be up and running as early as summer 2009 with an employment goal of 92. BD manufactures and sells medical devices and instrument systems.

Wilson Ranks 13th in Nation for Economic Strength

Wilson earned the highest 2006 ranking for economic strength of any North Carolina micropolitan community, according to the Policom Corporation, a company that studies dynamics of local economies.  Wilson also landed the 13th highest position in the nation out of 577 micropolitan communities.
