Ample recreation facilities serve Wilson. There are 25 public parks, three recreation centers, two multi-screen motion picture theaters, four 18-hole golf courses, one bowling alley, four reservoirs for boating and fishing, a combined total of 35 tennis courts owned by the city, schools and clubs, and two city swimming pools, one being a multi-purpose complex with an air-supported dome for year-round use.

The municipal profession baseball stadium, Fleming Stadium, accommodates 3,000 people. It is home of the Wilson Tobs, a semi-pro summer league team. Local high schools keep area sports active year round. In addition, Wilson's Recreation Department provides programmed activities for all ages.
